EDS Key Generation for Individuals

This guide explains how individual users can generate their Electronic Digital Signature (EDS) key.
There are two possible flows depending on whether you have a working camera or not.

With Camera

Step 1: Face Verification and PINFL

  1. Go to the Create EDS Key page.
  2. Allow camera access to complete face verification.
  3. Enter your PINFL (Personal Identification Number).

Step 2: Confirm Information

After verification:

  1. Check that your personal data (name, ID info, etc.) was filled automatically.
  2. Enter your phone number.
  3. Create and confirm your EDS key password.
  4. Select Save the generated key in the browser if you want to store it locally.
    • If you don’t select this option, you will download the key manually later.

Step 3: Check Your Balance

  1. Verify your account balance.
  2. If it’s not enough, click Top up balance and use one of the available payment systems.
  3. Click Refresh balance to confirm that the payment was received.

Step 4: Submit the Application

  1. Once your balance is sufficient, click Submit application.
  2. Wait for the process to complete.

Step 5: Download the Certificate and Key

  1. After successful key generation, a window will appear with download options.
  2. Download your EDS certificate and key file.
  3. If you didn’t save it in the browser, keep these files securely on your device.

Without Camera

Step 1: Manual Data Entry

  1. Go to the Create EDS Key page.
  2. Enter your PINFL and continue.
  3. Manually fill in your personal details.

Step 2: Upload Identity Documents and Check Balance

  1. Upload your identity documents (such as ID card or passport).
  2. Check your balance and top up if needed using available payment systems.

Step 3: Submit the Application

  1. Click Submit application.
  2. Copy and save your application number — you’ll need it to track progress.

Step 4: Wait for Operator Review

  1. You’ll receive an SMS once your application is reviewed.
  2. Go to the Applications page and enter your application number:
    • If rejected, the reason for refusal will be shown.
    • If approved, continue to key generation.

Step 5: Generate and Download Key

  1. Enter and confirm your EDS key password.
  2. Choose whether to save the key in the browser.
  3. Download your certificate and key file.
    • If you didn’t save it in the browser, store it safely on your device.

Tips

  • Always save your application number.
  • Do not share your EDS password.
  • Keep your balance sufficient before generating keys.
  • If your key wasn’t saved in the browser and you lose it, you’ll need to reapply.
